For the past 6 months the boys have been doing the "bean game." It is when they do little things for me and each other to earn beans. When they decrease their math fact time they earn beans. When I don't have to ask them twice to do things they earn beans--you get the idea. I never take beans out of the jar. Once they have earned the beans, they are theirs for the jar. For their prize they choose a Star Wars LEGO set..thank goodness they were on clearance that week!! Next time, instead of a prize, when the jar is full we will do a family service project and then a family dinner.
